SECURITY is not exactly an Echo strong suit, though the radio is security-coded and a transponder-type engine immobiliser is fitted. Remote central locking is standard on Sportivo models and optional on the Echo sedan - however, the base hatches no longer have it, or power door locks, available as an option. A cargo security blind and remote fuel lid release are also provided on hatch models.
