Camry Hybrid no dearer to service

TOYOTA has continued its slow-release launch campaign for next month’s Camry Hybrid by confirming it will be no more expensive to service than petrol-only Camry models.

As with the regular Camry, owners of Australia’s first Australian-made hybrid will pay $130 for up to four standard scheduled services during the first three years or 60,000km of driving (whichever comes first).

In addition to the Toyota Service Advantage scheme, which has been available to new Camry owners since 2006, the Camry Hybrid will come with the same eight-year/160,000km battery pack warranty as the Prius.

“Toyota Service Advantage is one of the most affordable factory-backed services in Australia,” said Desmond Lew, divisional manager for Toyota parts, service and accessories - sales and marketing.

“Hybrid Camry is the most technologically advanced vehicle built in Australia, so together Hybrid Camry and Toyota Service Advantage provide our customers with excellent value for money.

“Hybrid Camry owners pay one flat price - $130 - for a comprehensive service, which includes all parts, labour and fluids,” said Mr Lew.

Of course, Camry Hybrid owners will also benefit from significantly lower fuel costs than other medium and large sedans. As we revealed last week, the petrol-electric Camry will return official ADR 81/02 fuel consumption of just 6.0L/100km.
