SECURITY measures on the Avalon include remote central locking, owner-programmable, two-stage door unlock and an engine immobiliser. The keyless entry system utilises rolling code technology (similar to the transponder engine immobiliser) to eliminate the possibility of theft by "code grabbing". VXi and Grande grades have the additional features of a perimeter alarm system (with panic mode) and remote boot release on the key fob. The audio system is also security-coded.
