TOYOTA claims revisions to the suspension provided an opportunity to improve the steering characteristics of the engine speed-sensitive, power-assisted rack and pinion system. Toyota Australia changed its usual Camry steering rack suppliers for Avalon and as a result eliminated the trademark front-drive kickback.
