Aurion, Camry go Touring again

TOYOTA has released value-added Touring SE versions of its Aurion and Camry models.

Similar to the special-edition treatment applied to both models before they were facelifted last year, the limited-edition Touring SE models add a host of top-end equipment to the most affordable versions of both Australian-made Toyota sedans.

At $30,990, the auto-only Camry Touring SE is priced $500 higher than the model upon which it is based – the entry-level Camry Altise volume-seller, pricing for which increased by $500 from this month to $30,490 in both manual and auto guise.

While metallic paint remains a $400 option, additional Camry Touring equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, front foglights, sports headlights, a Sportivo grille, rear spoiler, chromed exhaust outlet and rear Camry Touring badge.

Inside, the Touring version of Australia’s top-selling medium sedan gains a multi-information display, dual-zone climate-control, six-CD sound system with display, reversing camera, premium gearshift knob and premium steering wheel.

Similarly, the Aurion Touring SE auto adds all these features, plus sports tail-lights, alloy-faced pedals and front and rear parking sensors.

Of course, an Aurion Touring rear badge is also fitted and this time metallic paint costs an extra $425.

The Aurion Touring costs the same $35,990 as the entry-level Aurion AT-X auto upon which it is based, following a general price rise of $500 for all Aurion models except the Presara flagship in January.
