The Grand Vitara V6 uses the same wheelbase as the previous Vitara V6, but is longer, wider and has increased track measurements front and rear. Suzuki says the Grand Vitara offers more space for passengers and luggage than the Vitara four-door. The Grand Vitara V6 comes only in four-door form. A five-passenger seating layout includes a split-fold rear seat. The Grand Vitara is one of the few small 4WDs to provide a full ladder-frame chassis. An all-new box-section ladder-frame chassis protects underbody components and is said to offer good rigidity and vibration damping. Body panels are made of high tensile galvanised steel
