THE Grand Vitara sits on the same wheelbase as its Vitara predecessor but has wider tracks along with a wider and longer body. The more rounded style promotes a solid look backed up by the fact the car meets current EU and USA safety standards. A large window area offers good visibility, helped by the low-slung siting of spare wheel. The interior is bigger, with more luggage space than the Vitara and naturally weight has gone up, by approximately 100kg over the Vitara V6.
