SUZUKI'S Baleno is now the only passenger car range the Japanese car-maker sells in Australia. It straddles both the light and small car classes by offering a choice of three body styles and two engines. While competent, well equipped and keenly priced, the Baleno is not an exciting car for the keen driver. Dull styling and controls should also keep many small car buyers away, especially in the light of newer and far-more interesting competition.
