THE Baleno's 1590cc G16B fuel-injected four-cylinder engine produces 70.5kW at 6000rpm at 3000rpm. Being all-alloy, it is light at 85kg, and being just 522mm long it is compact. The engines uses a two stage camshaft drive system with two maintenance-free chain drives operating the 16 valves with a 25-degree valve angle.
