SUBARU has worked hard to exploit the Liberty's four-wheel drive drivetrain as a safety and performance positive. But 4WD isn't the Liberty's only interesting feature. The engine is a "boxer" or horizontally opposed four-cylinder design, a design also favoured by Porsche.
