SUBARU Australia has released its now annual limited edition version of the Liberty GT, enhanced by a number of items from the STi catalogue and priced from $65,990 ($11,000 more than the standard GT).

Only 250 examples of the “Tuned by STi” Liberty GT will be available in both sedan and wagon body styles, again powered by the enhanced version of the 2.5-litre flat-four turbo engine producing 194kW (up 10kW on the standard GT) and 350Nm (up 11Nm) driving through a six-speed manual or no-cost optional five-speed auto.

Mechanical changes include Bilstein shock absorbers, partial ball bearing-jointed rear suspension bushes, 5mm lower springs, Brembo brakes with black calipers (four-pot at the front), stainless steel mesh-type brake hoses and a sports muffler.

The car is identified by lightweight 18-inch Enkei wheels, front and rear spoilers and a revised grille while the interior features firmer leather and alcantara front seats with a cherry red STi logo.
