THE arrival of the Liberty B4 has given Subaru a true performance model to add to its much-lauded Liberty range. Until the B4 joined the local line-up, it was the 2.5-litre RX manual that wore the sports tag amongst Libertys. But any fair-dinkum link between the Liberty and performance has been missing since the RS Turbo departed and of late it has been the Impreza WRX that people associate with sports car performance when they think of Subaru. Now you can have the best of both worlds as the B4 offers genuine performance without skimping on equipment or refinement. For the money, it leaves everything else in its wake.
