DESPITE more-or-less glowing reviews, the Yeti has yet to really fire in Australia.

Whether it was because of its odd looks, high (ish) pricing or obscure heritage, the Czech compact-SUV failed to find a wider audience.

That could all change now, thanks to a slick facelift, sizeable price drops, significant spec rises and the addition of a well-positioned front-drive petrol model known as the 90TSI.

And, trust us, the Skoda is possibly the best crossover in its class. If you’re after a roomy, versatile and engaging value-priced family car, don’t be scared of approaching the new-look Yeti.
