NO LONGER the poor second cousin to Volkswagen, Skoda is fast shedding its image as a budget brand and now packs much of the punch from the VW engine and equipment catalogue.

The Superb name always prompted high expectations, but the latest incarnation takes it to a new level.

Quiet and comfortable, the flagship Skoda is endowed with a solid safety features list, as well as interior space to make a Holden Commodore look cramped.
