THE 9-3 was given a new, smooth bumper design front and rear when it appeared. The grille was subtly changed over the previous 900 model to emphasise the central "wing" element, while the rear number plate frame was moved between the tailights. The rear panel was completely reprofiled with a slightly flatter look for the 9-3. A heavier duty exhaust outlet identifies later-model turbo 9-3s. The Aero's is chromed also. The Aero comes with a colour-coded bodykit including subtle side skirts and a small rear spoiler.
