Rover ads diesel to its 75 range

MG Rover Australia has added a diesel-powered station wagon version of its Rover 75 to its stable, priced from $55,990.

Joining the sedan equivalent, the Cdti Tourer has a 2.0-litre common-rail turbo-diesel engine producing 96kW at 3500rpm and 300Nm at 1900rpm.

Official fuel consumption figures show the 1725kg vehicle averages 6.9L/100km over the combined cycle.

Standard features include leather upholstery, trip computer, dual-zone climate control air-conditioning, a six-CD stereo, ABS brakes, six airbags and 16-inch alloy wheels.
