WITH all seats in place, the RX4's luggage capacity is 410 litres, the minimum boot width is a useful 1055mm and boot depth (to the rear seats) is 794mm. Maximum rear load height is 955mm. The rear hatch found on two-wheel drive models is discarded in favour of a large double-section electrically operated door which opens outwards (from right to left unfortunately) and includes an independently opening glass panel. Load volume can increase to 1800 litres when the three rear seats are removed, with luggage depth increasing to 1300mm (seats folded) or 1700mm (seats removed). Two luggage tie-down hooks, a shopping bag hook and power outlet are provided, along with storage areas in the tailgate and left and right-hand trim.
