RX4 uses a power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering system. The steering column adjusts for height only and, in addition to the usual lights/wipers/indicator stalks, has a small stalk with stereo controls attached. The airbag steering wheel, which is wrapped in leather on Privilege RX4 models, requires three turns lock to lock. The turning circle is 10.7 metres.
