Renault offers free servicing

ANY petrol or diesel Renault Megane hatch, Latitude sedan, Fluence sedan or Koleos SUV ordered in April and delivered before the end of May will receive free scheduled servicing for three years.

The offer applies to new and ex-demonstrator models and is open to private buyers, ABN holders, general fleet buyers and national fleet buyers.

Renault previously offered a similar servicing deal on the Koleos compact SUV in January 2011 to reinvigorate sales for the model that were flagging to the tune of 19.7 per cent at the time, resulting in a temporary spike.

This year, Koleos and Latitude sales are steady, but with just 52 sales the Fluence is 32.5 per cent adrift while the Megane hatch is tracking well with sales up 79.8 per cent to 169 units.

Renault Australia managing director Justin Hocevar said the company received “a tremendous response to previous scheduled servicing offers” and expects the deal to place Renault at “the top of the shopping list” in the small car, luxury sedan and compact SUV segments.

“In the past year we have extended our factory warranty to five years for passenger cars and begun offering competitive rates for fleet and retail customer finance through Renault Financial Services,” he said.

“We are confident that by adding the very buyer-friendly free scheduled servicing offer to the overall deal, we will be successful in converting even more new car buyers to become Renault customers.”Overall, Renault sales are up 34.2 per cent, with the sales leaders being the Megane hatch, Koleos and Renaultsport Megane hot hatch.

Renault commercial vehicles are enjoying triple-digit growth, with the Master and Trafic vans up 266.7 per cent and 158.6 per cent respectively.
