THE Megane cabriolet is a neat package and would make the cut as a desirable soft-top even if it were not priced way below any of its competitors. It's got the wedgy, high-tailed look that promises decent luggage space even if the boot has to make way for the folded roof. Two "blisters" on the panel that conceals the folded roof mould into the rear-seat headrests for a neat styling effect. It also has the twin-nostril grille that has been a Renault signature since the mid-1990s when the company underwent a styling renaissance. Small but cute five-spoke alloy wheels complete the picture.
