The XLi's 1.6-litre 16-valve engine generates 83kW at 6000rpm and 137Nm at 5000rpm

A choice of either five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission is offered in the XLi

Power steering is standard on GLi and XLi models

Stopping power comes from four-wheel disc brakes, ventilated at the front

Standard features in the XLi include air-conditioning, remote central locking, power windows and mirrors, four-speaker stereo and a leather-bound steering wheel

All Satrias have a 50/50 split fold rear seat

Suspension is shared with Persona and comprises MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link set-up at the rear

Driver comfort is catered for with tilt-adjustable steering column and driver seat height adjustment on all models

A luggage compartment cover keeps valuables away from prying eyes

Intermittent rear washer/wiper is standard on Satria

Levers next to the driver seat allow the rear hatch and fuel filler flap to be opened while seated in the car

The Satria XLi rides on 14-inch steel wheels. Alloy wheels are an optional extra
