A LOT has been written about how controversial the design of the first-generation Porsche Panamera was, but it did an excellent job of being a big, brash grand tourer.

It is all change with the new model, with the name the only thing to carry over, and the humpback tail-end has been replaced by a design that is much closer to the iconic 911.

It’s not just the design that moves the game forward. Techno wizardry, a pair of brilliant new powertrains and massive mechanical changes have lifted the Panamera to new heights.
