THE steering column offers 40 mm of reach adjustment - the first time a 911 has had movement in this area - but is not adjustable for height. All controls are within easy reach and arranged by importance and frequency of use. Distinctive styling and a black gloss finish - pure Boxster - are designed to make the controls easier to locate. The electric windows have a one-touch facility for opening and closing, as well as an anti-crushing sensor to prevent injury. When the doors are opened or closed, the windows open a few millimetres and then close again, preventing seal damage and ensuring a perfect seal to help reduce wind noise. Both external mirrors are electrically adjustable from inside the car and feature integrated heating elements. The fuel filler now unlocks via the central locking keypad rather than a latch on the dash.
