THE race-bred 911 braking package is nothing short of superb, with four-piston monobloc brake callipers used front and rear with internally vented and cross-drilled discs. A three-channel Bosch 5.3 anti-lock braking system is standard, while traction control and a limited slip diff comes as separate package. Before leaving the factory, the braking system is tested with each 911 slowing from 90 percent of its 280km/h top speed to about 100km/h - 25 times, consecutively, and without suffering significant brake fade.
