PEUGEOT has appointed its fourth dealer for the Sydney area and is close to announcing a fifth to service Australia’s biggest market.

Dominelli Prestige – part of the Dominelli Group that operates Ford, Mazda, Nissan and Suzuki dealerships in the Rockdale area – has been established to handle the French brand at a dedicated sales and service site on Princes Highway near Sydney airport.

Dealer principal at Dominelli Prestige is auto industry veteran Wayne Pearson, who joined the group this year to experience the retail side of the business directly after three decades with industry services companies Horwath and Deloitte Motor Industry Services, where he was managing director.

Dominelli Group was founded in Hurstville in 1969 by Ferdi Dominelli, who remains joint chief executive officer with his son Adam.

Peugeot Australia general manager Bill Gillespie said he welcomed Dominelli to the Peugeot dealership group, which now totals 40 nationally.

“Peugeot Automobiles Australia is proud to be associated with the Dominelli family, which has a high standard of service across all their dealerships,” said Mr Gillespie.

“Dominelli Prestige will operate a full sales, service and parts facility dedicated to Peugeot only, looking after our customers’ needs in the southern suburbs of Sydney and Sutherland Shire.”Peugeot has indicated that another new dealership will open in the Sydney area in the next few months.
