NO surprises in the Peugeot's transverse 3.0-litre V6, with an alloy block incorporating a 60-degree Vee and alloy multi-valve cylinder heads. The short-stroke engine produces a healthy 144kW, but winds out its maximum torque fairly high in the rpm band, which means less flexibility at low speeds.
