THE 406's front seats are more ergonomically shaped than the previous model's, with longer cushions providing improved support. The rear seat incorporates a centre armrest and there are storage pockets behind each of the front seats. The centre rear seat passenger is provided with a headrest, plus a lap-sash seatbelt. Higher door armrests were redesigned for improved comfort with wider and longer support padding, while more ergonomic door panels incorporate improved controls for the power windows and mirrors. The HDi gets woodgrain trim on the door panels.
