LIKE all 406 models, the HDi has an automatic climate control system. The air recycling function for use in heavy traffic or in heavily polluted areas is now controlled by a separate push-button. The climate control system allows the setting and maintaining of a preselected temp, summer or winter. The system automatically controls ducting so that air is directed quickly to where it will be most immediately effective. The demist function actuates the air-conditioning compressor regardless of temperature for quick clearing of the windows.
