PEUGEOT has been clawing its way back from oblivion for a little while now, thanks to turnaround models such as the 208 and second-generation 308.

And while the 208 GTi is a fine hot hatch, it hasn’t quite edged the breed forward in the way that the new 308 GTi 270 does.

More than just worthy of the badge, it is good enough to give the Golf R a bloody nose, let alone a GTI. Try before you buy any other pocket rocket.
