PEUGEOT Automobiles Australia recognises there’s a lot riding on the new 207, which replaces the successful and well-liked 206 range. The company has doubled the model line-up from seven to 14 in a bid to not only lift the profile of its newest hatch but also sales. The newcomer also cuts across both the light and small car segments because the 207 is bigger, safer and better equipped than its predecessor. With a model spread covering three, five-door, wagon and cabrio-convertibles and a range of petrol and turbo-diesel offerings, the 207 should make an impression. We suspect the three-door GT will also find favour with performance enthusiasts who still like their hatches a bit hot.
