YOU have to pity poor Peugeot. Today’s finicky press and public alike demand as much safety, luxury and refinement as humanly possible. That’s fine in a 406 Coupe but such things are anathema in your raw, lightweight urban hot hatch runabout. Combine that with a legacy the size of a 205 GTi, and the weight on the wheels of the new Peugeot 206 GTi 180 is quite considerable. Will it all keep it from flying as high as its legendary predecessor?
