FOR many fans of the XC-series Holden Barina, the arrival of the Opel Corsa D couldn’t have come soon enough after nearly seven years of TK and TM-series Barina mediocrity.

In many ways – safety, quality, handling and interior space – the Opel Corsa is near the top of its class.

But there are precisely 1.4 reasons why the SL Corsa Enjoy tested here turns out to be a disappointment. Oh well, there’s always the impressive Astra – which doesn’t cost that much more.
