A COMBINATION of MacPherson struts at the front and multi-link beam axle rear suspension is used, in common with new Maxima and Primera. The multi-link system cuts scuffing and jacking of rear wheels under load during braking and cornering. This also allows shorter, smaller rear shock absorbers to be fitted, permitting more luggage space. The new car is also more softly sprung than its predecessor.
