IT’S back, baby, and boy did Nissan miss it.

We speak of course about the new Pulsar hatch – the first Nissan small-car to wear the famous badge since it was dropped in 2006.

That was when Nissan made the decision to axe the badge, and the good will that went with it, in favour of the Tiida name.

While not as awful as many felt, the Tiida was a bland offering that never attained sales even close to past Pulsars in their pomp.

Nissan hopes this new one will right past wrongs, and will rely on a cheaper starting price than any rival and acres of cabin space to get the job done.

The return of the SSS badge, and with it some much needed pizazz, surely won’t hurt either – and enthusiasts will be pleased to know its little turbo engine is a firecracker.
