BY TERRY MARTIN | 2nd Oct 2006

NISSAN Australia has combined the Patrol 4WD’s 118kW/380Nm 3.0-litre DOHC four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine – the more powerful of the two Patrol diesels on offer (the 4.2-litre OHV inline-six produces 114kW/360Nm) – with its top-tier Ti trim level.

Standard features include climate control, rear air-conditioning, leather trim, drivers seat height and lumber adjustment, electric windows and mirrors, central locking, in-dash six-stack CD, steering-wheel audio controls, electric sunroof and 17-inch alloys.

A satellite navigation system is fully integrated in the centre dashboard while a reversing camera system is also standard.

The Ti 3.0-litre turbo diesel is based on the Ti 4.8-litre petrol, which includes ABS brakes, dual front and side impact airbags.

Pricing starts from $65,990 for the manual and $68,990 for the automatic. The auto-only 180kW/400Nm 4.8-litre straight-six petrol Ti variant starts from $77,690.
