IT’S massive and looks like it was styled by Shrek but we were impressed by the new Y62 Nissan Patrol.,

, Apart from an appetite for fuel that had us nicknaming it the Patroleum, we were won over by the Nissan’s ride, refinement, interior space, quality feel and true go-anywhere off-road ability.,

, A completely different beast from the utilitarian Y61 that continues on sale alongside it, in many ways the Patroleum represents a more affordable alternative to the Range Rover.,

, But is it good enough to make up for those looks and that thirst?,
