THE Patrol Ti driver is presented with a combination of manual and electric controls, most of which are placed in a suitable position for simple operation. The steering column adjusts for height only and the stalks attached to it include variable intermittent wipers, external lights and a right-hand indicator. Cruise control switches are placed on the steering wheel and electric mirror switchgear on the right-hand side of the dash, while window switches are on the doors. A remote fuel release is positioned underneath the steering column. Large buttons for rear demist and sub-fuel tank are located on the dash fascia, along with a differential lock switch and electric aerial up/down. The switch to four-wheel drive and low range is made via a conventional transfer case. Electric sunroof open/close and tilt/slide controls are positioned alongside an overhead console comprising maplights, sunglasses holder and an LCD display showing vehicle direction and the outside ambient temperature.
