NAVARA uses the common light commercial brake set-up of ventilated front discs and rear drums assisted by a dual-circuit hydraulic vacuum servo.

Light commercial vehicles are not known for performance braking and with the Navara ST-R weighing in at the upper end of the dual-cab scale at 1895kg, consideration must be given to the fact that there is a lot of weight riding on standard brakes.
