Nissan celebrates 25 years of Navara

NISSAN has kitted out 600 Navara 4x4 ST dual-cab utes with a set of its genuine accessories to create a limited-edition model celebrating the one-tonner’s 25th year on sale in Australia.

The Navara 25th Anniversary Limited Edition comes with an alloy bull bar, spot-lights, a tinted bonnet protector, a tub liner, a soft tonneau cover, a tow bar with wiring kit, carpet floor mats, metallic paint and commemorative badging.

In addition to the extra kit, driveaway pricing of $41,888 for the six-speed manual and $44,138 for the five-speed automatic represents a significant saving over the ST’s list price of $47,300 plus on-road costs for the manual (auto: $49,550).

Like the ST on which it is based, the limited-edition Navara is propelled by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 126kW of power and 450Nm of torque.

Standard equipment includes six airbags – contributing to a four-star ANCAP safety rating – 17-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured exterior mirrors, dual-zone climate-control, and USB and Bluetooth connectivity.

With 21,297 units sold to the end of October, the Navara is the second-best-selling one-tonne ute in Australia after the Toyota HiLux (34,467).

Sales of 4x4 Navara variants are up 14.9 per cent (to 19,621 units) and 4x2s are up 20.1 per cent (to 1676).
