BOOT capacity is increased by 80 litres over the previous Maxima, up to 520 litres. A 60/40 split-fold rear seat helps maximise luggage capacity while retaining some versatility in passenger/luggage carrying ability. The remote boot release is electrically operated by a switch on the driver's door. The simple hinge design does intrude on luggage space.
