SAY what you will of the original Nissan Juke, but on the international stage at least, this brazenly styled high-riding crossover achieved something that the 1999 Honda HR-V and 2006 Suzuki SX-4 could not – it started a trend. Yep, Nissan’s compact SUV pioneer caught global buyers’ imaginations and spawned a wave of imitators. Now, with a facelift and livelier base engine choices, it may finally find an appreciative audience in Australia too, despite packaging and high pricing issues.
