TRY as you might, it’s impossible to ignore the Nissan Juke.

A tremendous success abroad, it’s taken three years to arrive in Australia, where the sub-compact SUV segment that it helped create is now only just starting to see the competitors arrive.

In flagship Ti-S AWD CVT guise, there’s plenty of standard kit, and the turbo performance makes a refreshing change in a class littered with slow autos, so there’s plenty to like about Nissan’s boldest vehicle in years.

Just don’t expect a smooth ride or lots of practicality.
