MITSUBISHI has released a Platinum Pajero, based on the GLS automatic petrol and diesel models.

Unveilled at the Melbourne motor show in March and released the same month, the Platinum Pajero adds 17-inch powder-coated alloy wheels, foglights, tintedwindows, roof rails, a rear roof spoiler, privacy glass, side-step lighting, chrome wing mirrors, unique leather/alcantara suede seat trim, power driver’s seat and a DVD-compatible rear entertainment system with full colour screen and wireless headphones.

The Platinum is limited to 1500 units and available for no additional cost, representing a claimed $5000-plus worth of value. The 3.8-litre V6 petrol auto is priced from $56,490 and the 3.2-litre turbo-diesel auto from $57,890.
