MITSUBISHI has upgraded its Pajero and Outlander four-wheel drive wagons for the 2006 model year.

Most changes for Pajero apply to the mid-series GLS model, which now features front foglights, a rear spoiler, chrome wing mirrors, tinted windows and new-design 16-inch alloy wheels.

Prices start from $54,190 for the 149kW/310Nm 3.8-litre V6 petrol model, which is now Euro3-compliant, and $55,590 for the (unchanged) 3.2-litre turbo-diesel.

Priced from $48,190, the baseline GLX gets seat height adjustment and a six-CD in-dash stacker, while the range-topping auto-only Exceed – which starts from $68,490 – now has an upgraded multi-media unit and new 17-inch alloys.

On models other than Exceed, automatic transmission adds $3000.

As for Outlander, the $39,990 sports-themed VR-X model gains an in-dash multi-media unit and silver highlights to its bumpers and side skirts.
