Mitsubishi offers capped-price service

MITSUBISHI will offer capped-price servicing for the first four years or 60,000km of ownership on all new vehicles bought this year.

All Mitsubishi models, with the exception of Lancer Evolution and Ralliart models, have service intervals of 15,000km, meaning the offer will cover four services for most customers.

Under the offer, each of the first four services on the high-volume Lancer or ASX petrol 2WD will cost $195, while a Triton 4WD or 2WD diesel will cost $250 for the first service at 15,000km and $590 for the next three at 30,000km, 45,000km and 60,000km.

Mitsubishi Motors Australia president and CEO Masahiko Takahashi said the capped-price servicing offer meant his company’s customer care was “streets ahead of our competitors”.

“It is common knowledge that we already offer the best customer care package in Australia, with our ten-year powertrain and five-year new-vehicle warranty, five-year roadside assistance program and 24-hour help line,” he said.

“The capped price servicing program is a great innovation, and one that delivers extra value to our customers when they purchase one of our great Mitsubishi products.”Mitsubishi is among a handful of brands in Australia offering a five-year warranty on its cars, including SsangYong (Korando), Hyundai and Kia.

The Japanese manufacturer’s warranty covers the car for five years or 130,000km, while the powertrain is covered for ten years or 160,000km.

Toyota was the first car-maker to offer capped-price servicing in Australia, capping its service costs for the first three years or 60,000km.
