THE Mirage might be more than four years old, but there's no hint of old age in its appearance and, importantly, none of the love/hate reaction the new breed of small hatches have generated. Stylists of the Toyota Echo and Ford Ka would be pleased with either "love" or "hate" - anything's better than apathy. But the strength of Mirage lies in its universal appeal. Cute, sporty, uncontroversial. Can't argue with that.
