A 3.5-LITRE 24-valve V6 engine that outputs 163kW at 5250rpm and 317Nm at 4500rpm powers the Magna Sports and VR-X models. Mitsubishi has increased overall engine power and torque, a flatter torque curve and improved idle quality. Independent performance testing points to 15.3 seconds for the quarter mile - not super-quick but not slow either. The exhaust note is better, with improvements to the centre pipe and new main muffler assembly and tailpipe.
