THE existing five-speed manual transmission remains across the Magna range, with the highly regarded INVECS II intelligent logic-control automatic transmission now featuring an additional ratio on Magna Sports and VR-X models and retaining sequential manual gear selection. The new five-speed auto was developed jointly by Australian and Japanese engineers and Mitsubishi claims shift lag has been eliminated, giving the gearbox the feel of a manual minus a clutch pedal.
