USING a five-speed - not six-speed! - close-ratio manual transmission, Evo is typically short-geared. Pulling 2800rpm at just 100km/h in the overdriven fifth gear, the Evo driver's saviour is the 7000rpm redline. The gearchange is slightly notchy but short-throw and very positive. Final drive ratio is a super-short 4.529.
