AS is now commonplace in the rally world, Evo uses inverted shock absorbers in tandem with with MacPherson spring-strut front suspension and a multi-link rear-end. It's as per the standard Lancer in design, but Evo uses aluminium arms front and rear and specific springs and shock absorbers.
